A very warm welcome to you all but especially to our new hosts all over New Zealand. Lot of news this time with the launch of our new webite, our refreshed brand and lots of Press Coverage all over New Zealand.
Website upgrade: A few months ago we upgraded our website. The changes have made it easier for hosts to load property information and to make edits. It is also easier for guests to find accommodation by searching lists, or looking at Maps.
We have done our best to iron out any blips before going live, but if you discover something not working as well as it should - we'd be most grateful if you told us about it so we can fix it straight away.
Refreshed brand: We've kept our 'Lady in the Hammock' logo but given her a new look and colour. We ran a competition on our website and on Facebook and took a public vote to decide her name. We 'christened' her Ahu - a beautiful Maori name that means 'to look after.'
Webshop: We also wanted to make it easier for you to order supplies, like the toiletries and confectionery for guests, so we've added a 'shop' to our Website. Please check it out by clicking this banner - we've got lots of 'FREE' stuff on there for hosts like our business cards, flyers and Compendium Covers.
How you can help... Thanks to all our hosts for these great ideas about promoting our accommodation to potential guests. Working together ensures we actively encouraging guests to try homestay.
Check your profile is up to date and is well presented. We advise that you ask 3 - 5 friends to check your profile and give you honest feedback on presentation and price. Sometimes changing a single photo has given hosts new bookings!
You are all doing a wonderful job of looking after our guests - we really appreciate it. Our guests are raving about what we offer and many have made repeat bookings. We just need to keep spreading the word. Here is a small selection of what they are saying. More can be found on our Testimonials page.

We have good relationships with national and daily newspapers, TV, radio and magazines and are always looking for a new story that helps New Zealand learn about our beautiful, affordable accommodation. Browse our Press Room, or check out a few of our stories:
We are working with local tea maker 'The Magic Urn' and various herbalists to produce a new range of 'Love Me' herbal teas. These include a beautiful lavender sleep tea, for restful nights, a 'love Me' tea for hormonal imbalance, and a 'Cleanse Me' tea inspired by NZ's native kawa kawa.
With our rebrand, we have developed a new range of guest toiletries featuring 'Ahu' and these will be released on our Webshop in early 2013.
