Rainbow Trout Lodge - Rotorua

Classic
About this place

Rainbow Trout Lodge, in the world renowned Rotorua region is set on the picturesque lake front with landscaped gardens on the shores of tranquil Lake Rotoehu. Completed in 2008 this eco Holiday house is a fine example of native timbers oiled in their natural state. It is the epitome of contemporary architecture, offering privacy and luxurious elegance for the discerning traveller. Rainbow Trout Lodge caters for a maximum of six guests, with three large and well-appointed rooms including one loft. A two night minimum stay is essential for this haven accommodation. Free Wi Fi is available. With a large open plan design, including spacious decks, the Lodge has a wonderfully ample feeling of space and light. The natural timber flooring throughout is complimented by the generous use of Persian rugs and examples of local, natural Kiwi genuine wooden furniture. We also showcase some original New Zealand contemporary art and sculpture. Surround yourself with the secluded natural world where the sound of native birds abound; bathe in natural soda springs nearby to relax and rejuvenate your mind, body and soul; indulge your body on our massage table; in the hands of an expert guide catch yourself a couple of fine rainbow trout specimens, have them either sashimi or smoked for dinner with locally and home grown vegetables, and enjoy local fruits of the season in fabulous desserts and your choice of wine from a great cellar; then allow the water movements outside your bedroom to coax you into a deep tranquil sleep. Not far from the filming location for China's Daddy, where are we going? which was filmed in New Zealand.
