About this place

Delightful lifestyle property 20 mins from New Plymouth and 10 minutes from the Airport. Offering accommodation for up to four guests in two rooms (your choice of a Queen or King (or two singles). Your hosts are David and Christine. David is a retired dairy farmer who now trains horses (trotters). In 2013 he was the NZ Owner-Trainer of the Year. David also does carpentry and plays golf. Christine was a former music teacher and is very involved in helping care for 5 grandchildren (including triplets!). Christine loves her large tropical garden, homemaking and floral art. Together we love to meet guests from all over the world and show them around our beautiful countryside - White Cliff walkways and Mount Taranaki on our doorstep. We can arrange all sorts of activities including jet-boating, sea fishing & tramping plus lots more. We live 10 mins from New Plymouth airport and about 20 minutes from city. Local interests include the new famous Len Lye Art Centre and our famous wind wand and kinetic art structures. Guests can explore the beautiful Pukekura Park and coastal walk and cycle way in New Plymouth. Also on our doorstep are several golf courses - Urenui, Waitar and Manukorihi Golf Courses). We live within walking distance to our local beach which is absolutely beautiful. Ideal accommodation for the Taranaki Garden Festival held annually and many people from all over the world come for this late October/early November.
