Rent the whole house or for people travelling by themselves, or couples, just rent the Butterfly Suite. Ideal accommodation for Girl-Trips - especially Wine & Foodies re-kindling connections. Perfect location for enjoying and exploring Lake Tarawera - lots to do for the "active relaxer", or do nothing at all. Great for guests coming to walk the Lake Tarawera Trail, take an Eco-tour or explore the Buried Village. A good swimming beach is just a few minutes walk away for spending long, lazy days by the water's edge. Sit on top kayaks are all part of the package. There is an easy to access boat ramp about 700 metres down the road for boaties. Walking trails are on your doorstep and The Barmy Bellbird is itself set in a beautiful garden. This property is deliciously warm in winter and guests can enjoy a huge deck with a covered Pergola upstairs year round. Just perfect for long summer nights laughing with friends and family. The Barmy has three very comfortable guest rooms and two bathrooms downstairs, and a well equipped kitchen, entertaining area and another bathroom upstairs. This delightful country-feel Holiday House is perfect for relaxed holidays and so homely you'll settle right in. Gwen and Mario are experienced hosts who really care about their guests. Between them, they have an incredible knowledge of the local area and nearby Lake Okataina. Gwen has lots of local knowledge for walking in the area and Mario is a keen hunter and fisherman. If three rooms is not enough, you can rent the place next door as well - which is super handy for a lovely gaggle of girls coming for a few days away or for family occasions.
